Upat Golf Course is 6 km from Ranikhet. The Golf Course is one of the highest golf courses in Asia. Upat Golf Course is a 9-hole golf course and is maintained by The Indian Army.

Jhula Devi Temple
Dedicated to Goddess Durga, the 700 years old Jhula Devi Temple was built in the 8th century. Jhula Devi Temple is a major tourist in Ranikhet. The temple is 7 km from Ranikhet. according to legend In earlier times, leopards and tigers used to attack peoples here and kill their animals. Then people prayed for Ma Durga for their safety.
Then Durga appeared in the dream of a farmer and asked him to dig in such a place where people will get an idol and Maa Durga wants to build a temple there.Then the peoples built the temple and got rid of the attacks of their wild animals. When the devotees wish is fulfilled, then devotees offer bells in the temple. In the Jhula Devi Temple, the statue of Durga is kept on a hammock.
Famous for its fruit gardens, Chaubatia Garden it’s 10 km from Ranikhet. The garden is 1,800 meters above sea level and covers area of 600 acres. The garden is famous for delicious apples, peaches, plums fruits, there is more than 200 variety of foreign fruit and flowers in the garden. The garden is a great place for plan a picnic with your loved one, you can see the majestic views of the Himalayas peak from here. The atmosphere of this place is quiet if you are a nature lover then you must visit Chaubatia Garden.
Haidakhan Baba Ji Temple
Haidakhan Baba Ji Temple is made by Haidakhan, Who considered themselves as the incarnation of Lord Shiva. Haidakhan Baba Ji was died in 1984 because of heart failure. The temple is 4.5km from Ranikhet bus stand. Tourists from abroad come here to marry in Indian tradition. The temple also has an idol of Lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman Ji. In Navaratri, there is a sacrifice in the temple for 9 days and kirtan is done at night. you can meditate here because the atmosphere of this temple is so quiet.
Majkhali is 12km from Ranikhet located in Almora Road, its famous for natural beauty. You can see the majestic view of the Himalayan peak. Majkhali is a perfect picnic spot it offers several picnic spots in a nearby location. There is a nursery in Majkhali where you can see the flora and some species of fauna.
Best time to visit Ranikhet
You can visit Ranikhet in any season. In summers March to May is the best time visit here because the weather becomes so pleasant in summers. In Monsoon season the town becomes green beauty, the town looks just beauty full in Monsoon season. If you love snowfall then you can visit Ranikhet in October to February between these months the town gets snowfall.
